Cat Cupcakes

I made this cute cat cupcake for one of my friends Mia this week. She loves cats and I made this cupcake to resemble one of her cats called sprinkles!

What you will need for decorating:

Cupcakes I used chocolate recipe here

Butter cream recipe here

Piping bag

Star piping tip

Black fondant

White fondant

Pink fondant

Black writing icing

First I made all of my details to go on my cat.

First I made my two black eyes. I did this by rolling out a piece of black fondant and with the back of a piping tip cut two round circles.

For the nose I rolled a ball of pink fondant an pressed it down slightly with my finger tip.

To make the ears I cut two triangles out of white fondant. I then cut two pink triangles smaller than the white ones. I then placed the pink on top of the white with a dab of water.

I think placed my butter cream icing in a piping bag with a star tip. The tip I am using came with the piping bags so I don't know exactly what number it is.

I then piped stars all around the cupcake. The best way I find doing this is to pipe a circle around the edge of the cupcake and then work your way around until you cover the whole cup cake.

I then added my eyes, nose and ears to the cupcake.

With my black writing icing I piped whiskers on the cat. Three on each side of the nose. 

There you have your cat cupcake. Mia loved this cupcake and I am sure your cat loving friend will love it too!
